Within an individual submittal, Procore tracks who a submittal was received from, the date a submittal was received, the creation date of every submittal, and which Procore user created that submittal. Every submittal in Procore is automatically numbered, with every revision receiving its own sequential number, automatically.

Procore allows for sophisticated distribution workflow. Multiple approvers can be designated, and every submittal can also be distributed to non-approvers using Procore's "cc:" function. Procore avoids sending too many emails for every submittal by allowing specific submittals to be updated, but then queued up for email distribution at a later date or time.

Procore's construction project management software brings the power of instant filtering to the submittal management process. With Procore, users can view submittals by using a simple list to see all project submittals, or they can reduce that view to see just submittal packages or list submittals by spec section. Procore goes beyond static list views -- Procore's construction software can also apply a wide range of filters to every list so that submittals can be viewed by status (Open/Closed), type (Shop Drawing, Specs, Plans, etc.), approver, or response status (including Pending, Approved, Approved As Noted, and other response status conditions).
